I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS. MY BAD! I GUESS WE NEVER WERE.

 I thought we were friends, close and dear,

But now it seems my judgment wasn't clear.

My trust was misplaced, my heart deceived,

And my soul now feels so grieved.

I opened up my heart to you,

Shared my secrets and my truth,

But now I see it was all in vain,

And my trust in you was all in vain.

How could you hurt me, break my trust?

Did you even care, or was it all a bust?

I thought we had a bond of friendship true,

But now I see it was never really you.

It hurts to know we were never friends,

That all along it was just pretend,

But I'll move on, I'll find my way,

And leave behind this bitter fray.
