 I love my hyperfixations

For they give me a sense of purpose

To pour my energy into something

And have something to show for it

I love my hyperfixations

For they give me a sense of control

To have something to focus on

And to feel like I'm in charge

I love my hyperfixations

For they give me a sense of accomplishment

To have something to show for my hard work

And to feel proud of my achievements

I love my hyperfixations

For they give me a sense of belonging

To have something to share with others

And to feel connected to a community

I love my hyperfixations

For they give me a sense of joy

To be able to take pleasure in something

And to feel a sense of joy and satisfaction

I love my hyperfixations

For they give me a sense of pride

To be able to take pride in something

And to be able to share it with others

I love my hyperfixations

For they give me a sense of purpose

To have something to strive for

And to feel like I'm making a difference
